Birdies and birds in flight over Kerteminde

Welcome to the fourth experience in the Kerteminde area during the golf days. Visit the Johannes Larsen Museum – a charming historic artists’ home in Kerteminde. Here you can experience how art, nature and history come together and join a guided tour.

Perched on Møllebakken overlooking Kerteminde’s beautiful North Beach, the Johannes Larsen Museum is one of Denmark’s most beautiful museums and, for many visitors, a true hole-in-one that helps you unwind and awaken your senses.
Step directly into the beautifully preserved and atmospheric home of Alhed and Johannes Larsen, where the exhibitions celebrate both art and nature. Johannes Larsen – perhaps Kerteminde’s most famous native – was known as the painter of birds. In the landscape around Sybergland, where he found inspiration for his works, the swing of golf clubs and the beating of birds’ wings now meet side by side.
Be sure to visit the Kaffehuset café as well, where great flavours and a welcoming atmosphere come together in the warm and cosy surroundings of a century ago.
The museum is closely connected to its garden, the surrounding landscape and the beach just below.
