Activities on the beach – From beach salsa to mini golf

Welcome to the third experience in the Kerteminde area during the golf championship. Here you'll find Kerteminde's very own "Costa del Kerteminde" on one of the area's beautiful beaches. Soak up the summer atmosphere by the waterfront as Kerteminde North Beach, just a short walk from the town centre, comes alive with fun and relaxing activities.

Visit one of Kerteminde's most inviting beaches, North Beach, located within easy walking distance of both the town centre and the marina. During the championship, the beach offers a variety of afternoon and evening activities on and around the sand. Whether you're into Latin rhythms, live music, food and drinks with a sea view, or friendly competition with clubs and golf balls, there's something for everyone.

PROGRAMME

Miniature golf, great food and ice cream by the sea
Wednesday 12 August – Sunday 16 August, from approx. 11:00 am

Every day during the Danish Golf Championship you can visit the activity area at Kerteminde North Beach. Enjoy a delicious meal at Restaurant Kalle at Hotel Kerteminde Strand, freshly prepared takeaway, or a refreshing ice cream from Nordstranden Ice Cream House and Kerteminde Minigolf.

You can also test your putting skills on Kerteminde Minigolf's artificial grass courses overlooking the sea. Most venues are open from 11:00 am onwards, with some opening even earlier.

Kerteminde Camping invites you to a cosy after-golf experience. Relax and enjoy the afternoon or evening after a day on the golf course or exploring the local area. Expect a welcoming atmosphere, cold drinks and live Irish folk music – the perfect way to round off the day.

Picnic and Latin music on the beach
Friday 14 August at 5:00 pm

Waterdrops at Kerteminde North Beach invites you to an evening of communal dining and Latin music on the beach. Bring a blanket, food and a bottle of wine for your picnic, or pick up delicious takeaway from one of the town's wonderful cafés and settle into the sand from around 5:00 pm.

Enjoy Latin music under the open sky, a fantastic atmosphere and perhaps a refreshing swim in the Great Belt before the dancing begins.

Mayor Challenge and Danish Miniature golf Championship

Friday 14 August, 6:00–8:00 pm

Mayors and local politicians from Kerteminde, Nyborg, Nordfyn and Odense municipalities, together with former players from the Danish national mini golf team, compete for the trophy on the Kerteminde Mini Golf course.

Come and cheer for your favourite as they battle for the gold medal in the Danish Mini Golf Championship – and see who gets stuck in the famous "Valley of Death". Expect fierce competition, lots of laughter and plenty of fun.

The course is located on North Beach, right next to the marina.

Salsa on the Beach
Friday 14 August, 6:30–9:30 pm

Waterdrops at Kerteminde North Beach invites you to an evening of salsa dancing on the beach. Join in yourself or simply enjoy the lively atmosphere by the water while listening to irresistible Latin rhythms.
